The Designer
Hiba Husayni is the founder and designer behind ZAHN-Z®, an architect-turned-jewelry designer whose work bridges structure, craftsmanship, culture, and emotion. Trained in architecture.
In 2011, amidst the ongoing conflict in Syria, Hiba graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. During those challenging years, her jewelry sketchbook became a refuge for creativity and imagination. Determined to pursue her passion, she left Syria in 2012 to dedicate herself fully to the world of jewelry design.
After leaving Syria, Hiba pursued formal bench jewelry training in Egypt before advancing into CAD and 3D design. She later refined her technical and production expertise in New York City, where she spent more than seven years at a leading jewelry manufacturer, gaining hands-on experience across every stage of the process—from concept development through final execution.
In 2020, she founded ZAHN-Z®, channeling a moment of global uncertainty into creative clarity and purpose. While working full-time as a CAD Manager, Hiba became a certified Diamond Grader and was selected for the DAC Couture Mentorship Program. In 2026 she was selected from more than 90 designers as one of five finalists to receive mentorship from renowned American jewelry designer David Yurman—a distinction that further underscores her growing influence in the world of fine jewelry jewelry.
Her work quickly drew industry recognition. In 2025, Hiba of ZAHN-Z® received the Couture Award for Best in Debut, honoring her emerging voice in contemporary fine jewelry. The following year she received the Couture Award for Best in Diamonds Below $40k
Today, Hiba leads the CAD department at a prominent jewelry firm while simultaneously developing her own brand, ZAHN-Z®. Through her collections, she continues to merge architectural discipline with artistic freedom, creating pieces that embody movement, craftsmanship, and modern elegance.
